Law 2024/017 on personal data: what your website must do
Since 23 June 2026, Law No. 2024/017 of 23 December 2024 requires businesses collecting personal data, including through their website, to obtain free and informed consent, collect only what’s necessary, inform clearly, secure data and control transfers abroad. In practice: a privacy policy, lean forms, unticked boxes, HTTPS and well-managed hosting. Read the guide →
Legal notice, terms of sale, privacy: the mandatory pages
Every business website must show a legal notice (company identity, RCCM, NIU, contact, publication manager, host) and a privacy policy. A site that sells online must also publish terms of sale: prices, payment, delivery, returns, guarantees and complaints. These pages reassure clients and meet legal requirements. Read the guide →
Website ownership: who owns the code, domain and content?

Frequently asked questions
Is my small showcase site affected?
Yes, as soon as it collects personal data: contact form, newsletter, analytics tools, orders. Obligations are proportionate, but a clear privacy policy and lean forms are the minimum.
Can I copy another site’s terms of sale?
It’s risky: they won’t match your business, delivery or terms, and may be protected. Use the structure as inspiration, then adapt with a lawyer.
Can the provider keep my site if I change agency?
If nothing is written, it can get complicated, especially if domain and hosting are in their name. That’s why the quote should cover hand-over of logins and transfer of rights.
